Virtis Viewer Manipulationtool
To show and test our Horizontal Piston Manipulation Tool for our client before it went into production, we created a manipulable version in Virtual Reality.
For a pharmaceutical client in Puurs, our Caden engineers designed a Manipulation Tool for Horizontal Pistons. The goal was to safely and easily handle 110 kg vertical pistons during maintenance. Setting up a lifting system at every location where such a piston needs to be removed would be too costly, so a mobile solution was chosen instead. For more information about the development process of this manipulation tool, visit our Caden website.
Our Captis developers then used the 3D model to create an interactive application through our Virtis Viewer environment. This platform was designed to showcase products that haven't been physically produced yet in a virtual setting and explain their use clearly. This application (Virtis Viewer Manipulation Tool) complements the Artis Viewer Manipulation Tool.
With the Virtis Viewer Manipulation Tool, staff could be trained on the tool's operation while it was still in production. In Virtual Reality, users can see how the manipulation tool works, with arrows guiding them through the various steps. They can also interact with the tool, such as moving the linear slide in and out by turning the control wheel and adjusting the slide up and down with other wheels.
